Goofy & Mouse

European Shorthair · Male · Young · 2 years

Goofy and Mouse are a cozy, affectionate pair who thoroughly enjoy all the attention they get. They are very attached to each other and love playing together (a feather wand or a little ball always works well). Goofy (cypers/white) is the bold one of the duo. He likes to be present, is curious, and cheerfully seeks you out for some extra love and attention. Mouse (grey) is somewhat cautious at first and needs time to get used to a new environment. He looks up to Goofy a lot and keeps a close eye on him. This seems to give Mouse more confidence. Once he's at ease, Mouse also likes to come to you for a cuddle. The boys make a lovely duo, complementing each other well. For Goofy and Mouse we are looking for a loving household where someone is home regularly. They can be placed with children aged 6 and up. The boys can be kept as indoor cats, provided the living space offers enough variety and stimulation. Go back

NL·Show original

Ga terug

About Goofy & Mouse

What life with Goofy & Mouse looks like

Goofy & Mouse is a young adult european shorthair cat waiting at Dierentehuis Arnhem in Netherlands.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Goofy & Mouse, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Goofy & Mouse?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dierentehuis Arnhem handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Goofy & Mouse on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Goofy & Mouse if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dierentehuis Arnhem will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Goofy & Mouse already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Goofy & Mouse isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dierentehuis Arnhem early rather than rehoming privately; they know Goofy & Mouse and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
