Adopt Goplana

Mixed Breed · Unknown

In September 2021, a whole group of dogs arrived at our animal shelter. They were taken in by emergency. They lived in very bad conditions, without proper socialization with people. Goplana was the only one who was calm in the whole group. How scared she was when she came to us. It was also visible that she was not trained in anything, especially she did not know human touch. For a long time, she was afraid of any contact. Volunteers started working with her and showed her that humans are not scary. She no longer hides in the shed when she sees him, and even the opposite! Every day she eagerly waits for a walk. Unfortunately, it is visible that the animal shelter is not the place for such as her. It's a female dog, who needs peace, love, and above all - contact with a person! We are looking for a responsible, calm home, where she will learn what it means to be loved! We are looking for a family that has experience with dogs requiring work or ready to work with a behaviorist. We really don't want her to spend the rest of her life alone behind bars! Give Goplanie a home! She was born in 2011. She has been vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

We wrześniu 2021 roku do naszego schroniska trafiła cała gromada psów. Podaruj dom Goplanie! Urodziła się w 2011 roku. Została zaszczepiona, wysterylizowana I zaczipowana. Kasia 507 237 447

About Goplana

What life with Goplana looks like

Goplana is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Goplana, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Goplana?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Goplana on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Goplana if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Goplana already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Goplana isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Goplana and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
