Gordinflas

Male

I’m Gordinflas, and I was born around the end of 2019. For a long time, the streets of Spain were my home. It was there that I was discovered by caring animal rescuers who refused to leave me to my fate. That’s when hope for a life filled with safety and security began for me. Today, I’m still waiting in Spain for my big chance. I’ve already been neutered, and of course, I’ll be vaccinated and microchipped before I’m adopted. A blood test revealed that I’m FIV-positive. That means my immune system could use a little extra support—but many FIV-positive cats lead perfectly normal, happy lives for years on end. No matter what, I’m not letting that take away my joy in life. I’m an energetic, curious, and sociable tomcat. I love exploring my surroundings, I’m open to new experiences, and I just get along wonderfully with everyone. Whether it’s another cat or a dog—I greet them all with friendliness and ease. But what I love most is when I can enjoy my humans’ attention and become part of their everyday life. For my future, I’m hoping for a loving home where I can finally feel truly at home. Since I’m FIV-positive, I’d prefer to move in with an already existing FIV-positive cat. If there isn’t a suitable feline companion waiting for me yet, I’d also happily bring one of my FIV-positive friends along. With plenty of time, love, and attention, though, I could just as easily live happily as an only cat. If you already have a dog who’s cat-friendly, I’d be thrilled to meet him or her. Would you like to show me what a real home feels like?

About Gordinflas

What life with Gordinflas looks like

Gordinflas is a large adult cat waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gordinflas, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gordinflas?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gordinflas on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gordinflas if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gordinflas already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gordinflas isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gordinflas and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
