Gorgeous Grace

Akita · Female · Puppy · 10 months

Hi there, my name is Grace! I am very diddy for my breed and at just 25kg, the team sometimes call me a pint sized Akita, whatever that means! My ideal home: I’m looking for a patient, calm home to help build my confidence. I adore other dogs so a home with another friendly dog would be perfect. People: As I am very shy with new people I will need to meet my new humans a few times before going home with them but once I know and trust you I will be your best friend! Walks: I LOVE long walks and exploring new places. Being outdoors is one of my favourite things so I would love a nice big garden too. As well as being active, I also enjoy lots of cuddles and fuss once I feel safe with you. I can promise you that although it may take a while to gain my trust, once you’ve earned it we will be inseparable. Toilet training: As I am only around 10 months old and have never lived in a house before, I will need to be toilet trained. However, I always go in the outdoor part of my kennel, never indoors, so hopefully I’ll learn quickly! If you think you can give me a calm, patient, forever home please get in touch. Lots of love Grace x My adoption fee is £350

About Gorgeous Grace

What life with Gorgeous Grace looks like

Gorgeous Grace is a large puppy/kitten akita dog waiting at Rain Rescue in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gorgeous Grace, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gorgeous Grace?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rain Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gorgeous Grace on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gorgeous Grace if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rain Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gorgeous Grace already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gorgeous Grace isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rain Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gorgeous Grace and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
