Grace

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

Acht kleine puppies were found abandoned near our shelter, without their mother, in an olive grove with only a bowl of water. We don't know how long they were there. Fortunately, they hadn't been on their own for long. We're already at our limits. Every day, we receive reports of dogs in need of help. Despite our best efforts, we can't take on all these emergencies. But when we heard about these eight puppies, we couldn't leave them to their fate. We took in the entire litter and immediately took them to the vet. Luckily, all eight were in good health. They've now received their vaccinations and can grow, play, and discover the world with us. The three female puppies and five males are now about 40 cm tall and weigh around 9 kg. We estimate they will reach a height of around 55-60 cm when fully grown. One of the male puppies has already found a home in Greece. We're now looking for their own people for the other seven. By the end of October, the little ones will be ready to start their next chapter. Of course, puppies are incredibly cute. But they're also little personalities who still have everything to learn. They need people who can show them the world with patience and love, educate them, and accompany them on their journey to becoming adult dogs. We wish for each of the seven puppies a loving home where they can be a full-fledged family member and stay for their whole life. Seven little personalities are still waiting for their people. Maybe the right puppy is just for you. Get to know them here individually. Grace is initially a bit reserved. She prefers to observe things from a safe distance before joining in. But given the necessary time and peace, she thaws out and shows her affectionate and playful side. We wish for Grace people who can give her the time she needs. They are all vaccinated, chipped, and have an EU passport. They will be checked for Mediterranean diseases at an age-appropriate level. See the info on our website. Each dog we place makes room for one of those dogs who are starving and emaciated.

AUFENTHALTSORT

About Grace

What life with Grace looks like

Grace is a puppy mixed breed dog waiting at A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. in Greece.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Grace, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Grace?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Grace on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Grace if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Grace already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Grace isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Grace and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
