Greco is an approximately 11-year-old, small mixed breed dog who initially doesn't make much noise around himself - but when given a moment, he can really move. When he arrived at the animal shelter, he was very withdrawn. On walks, he walked quickly, on a tight leash, as if trying to escape everything around him. Sniffing was compulsive, and contact with people was almost none. In his kennel, he often stood by the bars, waiting for someone to come and take him for a walk. Today, Greco is a completely different dog. He still stands by the bars, but there is clearly more joy on his face. He walks much more calmly, and often notices that there is a person at the other end of the leash. He can approach, gently nudge a leg with his nose, as if saying: "Let's go together." He sniffs more carefully, slower, stops to observe the surroundings. In interactions with other dogs, he is very polite. He calmly passes them, communicates well, respects the signals sent by other dogs - and expects the same in return. He is not overly expressive, but he is stable and clear. Greco also has some health challenges - he is undergoing diagnostics, and Cushing's disease is suspected. This is not a "verdict," but rather a situation requiring attention and cooperation with a veterinarian. Many dogs with such issues can lead a calm, good life - especially in home environments, with routine and a sense of security. Greco does not seek marathons or great adventures. He seeks a quiet home, where someone will give him time, warmth, and normal everyday life. In return, he offers presence, gentleness, and that quiet trust that arises when a dog can finally breathe. If you have space in your heart for a dog who will spend his "autumn of life" with you - Greco would really like to meet you.

Greco to około 11-letni, niewielki kundelek, który na pierwszy rzut oka nie robi hałasu wokół siebie – ale kiedy da mu się chwilę, potrafi bardzo poruszyć. Gdy trafił do schroniska, był mocno wyłączony. Na spacerach szedł szybko, na napiętej smyczy, jakby próbował uciec od wszystkiego, co go otaczało. Węszenie było kompulsywne, a kontakt z człowiekiem – prawie żaden. W boksie często stał przy kratach, czekając, aż ktoś przyjdzie i zabierze go na spacer. Dziś Greco to już zupełnie inny pies. Dalej stoi przy kratach ale na jego pysku widać zdecydowanie więcej radości. Spaceruje znacznie spokojniej, częściej zauważa, że na drugim końcu smyczy jest człowiek. Potrafi podejść, delikatnie trącić nosem w nogę, jakby mówił: „chodźmy razem dalej”. Węszy uważniej, wolniej, zatrzymuje się, by poobserwować otoczenie. W relacjach z innymi psami jest bardzo kulturalny. Spokojnie je mija, świetnie się komunikuje, szanuje sygnały wysyłane przez inne psy – i tego samego oczekuje w zamian. Nie jest wylewny, ale jest stabilny i czytelny. Greco ma też swoje wyzwania zdrowotne – jest w trakcie diagnostyki, podejrzewana jest choroba Cushinga. To nie jest „wyrok”, a raczej sytuacja wymagająca uważności i współpracy z lekarzem weterynarii. Wiele psów z takimi problemami może prowadzić spokojne, dobre życie – szczególnie w warunkach domowych, z rutyną i poczuciem bezpieczeństwa. Greco nie szuka maratonów ani wielkich przygód. Szuka spokojnego domu, w którym ktoś da mu czas, ciepło i zwyczajną codzienność. W zamian oferuje obecność, delikatność i to ciche zaufanie, które rodzi się wtedy, gdy pies w końcu może odetchnąć.
