Grom

Male · Young · 1 year

Grom is still a puppy - a young, beautiful boy with a wonderfully soft coat, full of energy, joy and curiosity about the world. Unfortunately, instead of getting to know life by his human's side, he gets to know it from behind the shelter bars. He is an extremely charming dog, strongly focused on humans. He loves contact, petting and cuddling, and every moment spent with a human brings him great joy. He also gets along well with other dogs and feels comfortable in their company. Grom is still young, so he needs a caregiver who is ready to work with the dog, teach him and show him the world calmly. He is not a ready-made "couch potato" that can just be taken home and nothing required from him. He needs a wise, patient person who will help him grow into a nice, stable dog and will consistently build a relationship with him. In return, you can gain a unique friend who will be happy with his new human. Let's not let Grom grow up behind bars. He has his whole life ahead of him and he really deserves to live it by the side of someone who gives him time, love and a chance at a good life.

PL·Show original

Uwielbia kontakt, głaskanie i przytulanie, a każda chwila spędzona z człowiekiem sprawia mu ogromną radość.

About Grom

What life with Grom looks like

Grom is a large young adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Grom, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Grom?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Grom on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Grom if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Grom already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Grom isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Grom and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
