Grumpy is a 5-year-old female cat. She comes from a house with over 60 cats. The owner had no ill will, but was struggling to keep everything clean and well-maintained. It had all gotten too much for her. Fortunately, she sought help. The 60 cats were all removed from the house, spayed, received medical care, and multiple shelters have joined forces to find new homes for the cats. The owner was allowed to keep a manageable number (of course, spayed). At the moment, Grumpy lives up to her name, making a lot of noise when we approach her to make sure we leave her alone. But secretly, she is very sweet. She seeks out quiet and peaceful places where she can hide. We are looking for a quiet home for Grumpy, without other cats. The expectation is that she will slowly thaw and become very nice as the only cat in the household. You may need to be patient, but this fun lady is worth the investment!

Grumpy is een dame van 5 jaar. Ze komt uit een huis met ruim 60 katten. De eigenaar had absoluut geen kwade wil, maar deed juist haar best om het allemaal nog schoon en goed te houden. Maar het was haar allemaal ver boven het hoofd gegroeid. Gelukkig zocht ze hulp. De 60 katten zijn allemaal uit het huis gehaald, gecastreerd, voorzien van medische zorg en meerdere asielen hebben de handen in een geslagen om nieuwe huisjes voor de katten te zoeken. De eigenaar mocht een behapbaar aantal (uiteraard gecastreerd) houden. Op dit moment doet Grumpy haar naam eer aan, als we bij haar in de buurt komen maakt ze veel lawaai om ervoor te zorgen dat we haar met rust laten. Maar stiekem is ze wel heel lief. Ze zoekt stille en rustige plekjes op waar ze zich kan verstoppen. Voor Grumpy zoeken we een rustig thuis, zonder andere katten. De verwachting is dat ze als enige kat in het huishouden langzaam zal ontdooien en vooral heel leuk wordt. Waarschijnlijk zult u wel even geduld moeten hebben, maar deze leuke dame is de investering waard!
