Grześ

Mixed Breed · Male

Grześ – a dog who is still waiting... Will someone finally notice him? 💔 Grześ has spent his entire life in the animal shelter. He was taken in urgently from a place where dogs were breeding without control and living in dramatic conditions. There were many of them, all withdrawn, frightened, not knowing human touch. Since that day, many years have passed. Grześ has come a long way. Today, he is a completely different dog than he was then – much calmer, gentle, a quiet observer. He still needs time and patience, but with people he knows, he can approach and allow himself to be petted. It is up to him to decide when he is ready – and this must be respected. While on walks, Grześ stays close to the person. He doesn't stand out. And maybe that's why no one has noticed him yet... Every day he can be seen squeezed into the cage. He watches as other dogs go off to their new homes. He wants it too. He just shows his emotions a little differently than the other dogs. Grześ was born around 2014. He is neutered, vaccinated. He is currently at the animal shelter in Radom. Let's not let Grześ grow old behind bars...

Grześ – pies, który wciąż czeka… Czy w końcu ktoś go dostrzeże? To on decyduje, kiedy jest gotowy – i trzeba to uszanować. Na spacerach Grześ trzyma się blisko człowieka. Nie rzuca się w oczy. I może właśnie dlatego nikt go jeszcze nie wypatrzył… Codziennie widać go wciśniętego w kratę boksu. Patrzy, jak inne psy odchodzą do Domów. On też bardzo chce. Tylko trochę inaczej okazuje emocje niż inne psiaki. Grześ urodził się około 2014 roku.Jest wykastrowany, zaszczepiony. Przebywa w schronisku w Radomiu. Nie pozwólmy, żeby Grześ zestarzał się za kratami… Kontakt:Ola 533 564 074 KASIA 507 237 447

About Grześ

What life with Grześ looks like

Grześ is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Grześ, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Grześ?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Grześ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Grześ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Grześ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Grześ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Grześ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
