Adopt HALNY

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Born in 2023, HALNY is a young, energetic male cat with a stunning white and black coat that just begs to be petted. He came to the animal shelter after a tough time - with a frostbitten tail. Unfortunately, it was not possible to save it and it had to be amputated. Today, HALNY proudly carries his short tail like a lynx - and it certainly does not hinder him in his daily life! Despite his difficult past, HALNY has not lost trust in people. On the contrary - he loves contact with humans, happily snuggles up and rubs against you, purring with satisfaction. He is also a true lover of play - chasing a ball or hunting with a fishing rod is his element! HALNY is looking for a home where he can once again feel what love and safety are. This is a cat who will repay with an abundance of affection and joy. Are you looking for a lively and charming feline friend? HALNY is waiting for you!

Szukasz kociego przyjaciela pełnego energii i uroku? Halny czeka właśnie na Ciebie! ❤️

About HALNY

What life with HALNY looks like

HALNY is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Zielonej Górze in Zielona Góra.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting HALNY, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about HALNY?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Zielonej Górze handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw HALNY on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt HALNY if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Zielonej Górze will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is HALNY already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if HALNY isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Zielonej Górze early rather than rehoming privately; they know HALNY and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
