Hana & Huncho

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 1 month

Our names are Hana and Huncho and we need our new home together! ** We are a bonded pair and must be adopted together ** Gender: Male and Female Colour: Hana is grey, black and white, Huncho is black with a tiny white chest patch History: Found at a chicken farm, mum disappeared. Owner tried to rear herself but lost 2 of the kittens so agreed to let the remaining 2 come into rescue. It was very much touch and go the first few days. Hana has a possible fever coat. This is where mum has a minor illness or stress whilst pregnant and it blips development when the kitten coat colour is forming. It can take up to 12 months to turn into the colour it will finally be; or it may stay grey. Needs: We need toys, boxes, food and loads of room to play so we can chase and create mayhem in a strong and supportive environment with someone there most of the day at this age. Character: We are at the crazy stage and remind our foster mum of the Adams family; totally insane, torture devices (teeth and claws) to daft antics like jumping in the mirror to chase the kittens we see. We run around, up and down with no destination in sight then will pounce of the tiniest bit of rubbish you need a magnifier to see. Totally strange! We love toys and boxes and find fingers and toes very tasty along with our foster’s meals and nothing is private from bathing to going to the toilet. Every surface belongs to us so make sure you watch what to sit on, where you stand, even lay down; if we can get there first we will. This makes us completely adorable and add in we are hand rears, who want more attention from you, and a bonded pair who look so sweet top and tailing and you have ready made cat family. Can I live with cats? Yes Can I live with dogs? Yes Can I live with children? Yes Can I live indoors or outdoors? Either Minimum adoption donation: £140 per kitten

About Hana & Huncho

What life with Hana & Huncho looks like

Hana & Huncho is a very small kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Heronbank Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hana & Huncho, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hana & Huncho?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Heronbank Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hana & Huncho on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hana & Huncho if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Heronbank Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Hana & Huncho already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hana & Huncho isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Heronbank Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hana & Huncho and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
