About Hank

Hank is looking for a new home with Beagle experience, where he can have company throughout the day as he loves being with people. It would ideally be a detached house with a secure garden as Hank can be quite vocal. Hank would thrive at sports such as mantrailing or scentwork. He needs someone who is happy going for long walks and is strong. Hank is excited to greet people in and out of the house and is generally very friendly with people. Hank can get quite worried when he is around children. He is also sensitive about his toes being touched so we advise any children in his new home are older, teenagers would be best. Hank can resource guard his toys sometimes and so Beagle experience in his new home would be beneficial. He is a bit anxious when travelling in the car. He has snapped at a vet before but has been fine otherwise. He is fine to be washed and brushed and has been to the groomers and kennels before. Hank is good with dogs but will bark at them because he wants to play. He loves to chase cats so this is something to be aware of. Hank pulls on the lead and wears a harness. He is not good off the lead and his recall is poor. Hank’s new owner should be willing to do some training to improve this and must be strong. Hank loves going for walks so needs a fairly active home. He is a smart boy and would enjoy doing classes that work his brain such as mantrailing or scentwork. Hank will bark at unfamiliar sounds outside and is scared of fireworks. He can be left for a few hours but he can be anxious. Hank really loves human company so is looking for a home where he can get a lot of attention and time with his companions. © 2025 Dog Aid Scotland (SCIO Charity No. SC001918) Web Design by Techincal Services Scotland.
