adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Peace and Hanna, a wonderful dog! Her story: Oldie-Dame Hanna is currently waiting in Busag for the request that will finally change her life! Her bags are packed, and she's had enough of this dreary and poor life. Who will rescue Hanna from hell? Our Hanna is estimated to be around 10 years old and has a medium size of about 55 cm. Her entire life, she has been on her own and therefore has her own head. She needs to learn to live in a new home and will likely take a bit longer. Therefore, she wishes for a particularly understanding family that can take into account her past. Hanna lives together with about 70 other dogs in a pack on a property. She gets along well with her fellow animals. However, she doesn't know children; they should be older and have a firm way of handling dogs. Cats are also unfamiliar to her, and they cannot be tested. Our Hanna is a very delicate and cautious female dog. We cannot touch her because she constantly seeks an escape to avoid us. Hanna would like a home where she can truly arrive in peace and determine her own pace of progress. Hanna travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to her new home. She would also be very happy about a foster home! Who gives our Hanna a chance? Many thanks to Agnes R.! You gave Hanna her beautiful name! Heartfelt thanks to Stefanie K.! You support Hanna with a monthly paternity. Many thanks to the Tax Office Dr. Silvia Thole-Kollmansberger! You support Hanna with a monthly paternity. Heartfelt thanks to Hanna A.! You also support Hanna with a monthly paternity and fill her bowl. As of: 12.09.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Ruhe in Frieden, tolle Hanna! Vielen Dank Agnes R.! Du hast Hanna ihren schönen Namen geschenkt! Lieben Dank Stefanie K.! Du unterstützt Hanna mit einer monatlichen Patenschaft. Vielen Dank an die Steuerkanzlei Dr. Silvia Thole-Kollmansberger! Ihr unterstützt Hanna mit einer monatlichen Patenschaft. Lieben Dank Hanna A.! Stand: 12.09.2021

About Hanna

What life with Hanna looks like

Hanna is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hanna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hanna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hanna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hanna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hanna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hanna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hanna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
