adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this dog now! The light-spotted Hardy is a handsome and cheerful young dog. He was found homeless and is now waiting for a happy future in a private foster home in Baia Mare. We hope that soon loving people will come forward who will offer the beautiful dog a good life as a beloved family pet. Hardy is a male dog measuring approximately 53 cm at the shoulder. He is only about 1.5 years old and has a whole life ahead of him. With his beautiful brown eyes, which are further emphasized by the light markings on his face and his short, white fur with light brown spots, he looks forward to the future with hopeful anticipation. The lively Hardy certainly wants to experience much more, feel the wind in his face, and learn a lot of new things. In his foster home, the young male dog shows himself to be extremely friendly, trusting, and open to people. He is lively and playful and gets along well with his fellow animals. However, as a house dog, Hardy probably hasn't had much experience yet and will likely have to learn all the rules anew in his new home. But Hardy is an intelligent, young male dog and will hopefully quickly understand what is expected of him. The pretty dog might still be in his teenage years and will probably test the patience of his new people from time to time. But with a little bit of humor and much loving but consistent upbringing, his development can be supported to become a balanced and reliable companion. After the adjustment period, we would recommend a visit to a positively working dog training class, as joint training between human and dog will strengthen Hardy's self-confidence and the bond to his new owners. Have you fallen in love with the friendly Hardy? Then contact us. The beautiful male dog can travel to his new home vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and neutered. We would also be very happy to have a foster home for Hardy. We thank the namingsponsor Maritta B. for giving the young male dog her name and thus a unique identity. As of: 28.11.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Hardy

What life with Hardy looks like

Hardy is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hardy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hardy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hardy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hardy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hardy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hardy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hardy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
