About Hector

Handsome Hector is looking for a new home that must have Lurcher experience and a garden for him to relax. He would love company throughout the day and to go for nice walks. Hector would prefer to live in a country home rather than in a town. Hector is very friendly towards visitors and gets excited but quickly calms down. He is friendly with people outside too. Hector is calm with children when they come over to pet him. On walks, he is also very friendly with other dogs, he is playful and submissive. He does not tend to pull and wears a gentle leader lead. Hector’s recall is okay as he likes treats as a reward, but this will need to be reinforced in his new environment. Hector does not like squirrels or cats so this is something to watch out for. He is also scared of fireworks. Hector is good at the vet and the groomers (he does not mind being washed and brushed). Hector can be left for a couple of hours. He loves the car and travels well. He has been to boarding kennels before and had a great time. Hector loves eating, playing, running around and socialising with other dogs. Hector loves a good snooze on the sofa. He has a lovely temperament and is so gentle and loving, yet can also be really playful. © 2025 Dog Aid Scotland (SCIO Charity No. SC001918) Web Design by Techincal Services Scotland. Need a website?
