Heidi, Tom & Hanami

Unknown

Hallo, we are Heidi, Tom and Hanami. Each of us has our own story. Heidi and Tom were rescued from poor living conditions and Hanami was alone when she came to the shelter. Here we met and grew into a happy group of rabbits. Now we wish to find a loving home together. We are a curious, active and fun group that loves to hop, dig and explore together. Hanami and Tom are very friendly towards people and come running up to visitors immediately. Heidi has made great progress in recent weeks, becoming bolder and more curious every day, but is still very anxious around strangers. We can be socialized with other rabbits, we are all very peaceful. Health-wise, we are now unremarkable. Tom and Heidi have recovered wonderfully from their difficult past and Tom is now neutered. We are still very young and will continue to grow. We are all vaccinated. For our new home, we wish for a loving family that will take us all in together. A large, predator-proof outdoor enclosure with plenty of space to hop, dig and explore is just as important to us as a species-appropriate diet and people who understand our needs. Would you like to meet us and give our happy rabbit gang a forever home? If so, please contact the shelter. If you are interested in our small animals, we cordially invite you to our adoption times at the shelter.

About Heidi, Tom & Hanami

What life with Heidi, Tom & Hanami looks like

Heidi, Tom & Hanami is a large adult animal waiting at Tierschutzverein St. Pölten in St. Pölten.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Heidi, Tom & Hanami far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Heidi, Tom & Hanami, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Heidi, Tom & Hanami?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein St. Pölten handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Heidi, Tom & Hanami on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Heidi, Tom & Hanami if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein St. Pölten will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Heidi, Tom & Hanami already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Heidi, Tom & Hanami isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein St. Pölten early rather than rehoming privately; they know Heidi, Tom & Hanami and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
