" I am a real wildling and have spent my whole life without close contact with people. For several months I have been living in the shelter. At first everything was scary - there was nothing else for me to do but to hiss and spit to create distance. But now I have gotten used to it quite well. Treats are really exciting for me - as soon as they are distributed, I am right there. My absolute highlight is playing with the ball, I can't resist it! With other cats I am now actively seeking contact. It seems like I enjoy pressing myself against them and feeling their presence. I am still cautious towards people: being touched still makes me afraid, and if someone tries, I prefer to keep my distance. But who knows - maybe it's just a matter of time until I gather the courage and allow a little petting."

"Ich bin ein echter Wildling und habe mein bisheriges Leben ohne engen Kontakt zu Menschen verbracht. Seit einigen Monaten lebe ich nun im Tierheim. Am Anfang war mir alles unheimlich – da blieb mir nichts anderes übrig, als zu fauchen und zu spucken, um Abstand zu gewinnen. Inzwischen habe ich mich aber ganz gut eingelebt. Leckerlis finde ich richtig spannend – sobald sie verteilt werden, bin ich sofort zur Stelle. Mein absolutes Highlight ist das Ballspielen, da kann ich einfach nicht widerstehen ! Mit anderen Katzen suche ich mittlerweile aktiv den Kontakt. Es wirkt, als würde ich es genießen, mich kurz an sie zu drücken und ihre Nähe zu spüren. Menschen gegenüber bin ich noch vorsichtig : Anfassen macht mir weiterhin Angst, und wenn jemand es versucht, gehe ich lieber auf Abstand. Aber wer weiß – vielleicht ist es nur noch eine Frage der Zeit, bis ich mich traue und auch ein bisschen Streicheleinheiten zulassen kann."
