Born in 2016, HENIEK is an older dog with what seems to be a difficult past, judging from his behavior. At the beginning of his stay at the animal shelter, he tried to scare staff and volunteers with growling and barking, but today he behaves much more calmly. In the kennel run, HENIEK carefully observes visitors, deciding on his own when to shorten the distance, not the other way around. In contact with people, he is active, although he builds a relationship slowly. He greets a known volunteer in the kennel run with jumps and sniffing. For now, he allows people to touch him, but in the other direction there is no problem at all; he can lick hands, nudge with a paw or head. Henio loves treats, and thanks to that, a lot can be achieved with him. For a longer time, HENIEK has been going for walks; he has learned the collar, leash, and harness, although putting on the last ones is still a small challenge. During walks, he sniffs a lot, communicates nicely with other dogs, doesn't pay attention to cats, and observes people from a distance. The pace of the walk is pleasant. HENIEK still needs a lot of work in a quiet environment and an experienced and patient caregiver. Due to his age, Henio is not suitable for a home with children, but the presence of other animals probably would not be a problem.

Rok urodzenia: 2016 Heniek to niemłody już piesek z nieznaną, sądząc po zachowaniu – raczej trudną przeszłością. Na początku pobytu w schronisku próbował odstraszać pracowników i wolontariuszy warczeniem i szczekaniem, dzisiaj zachowuje się dużo spokojniej. W kojcu Heniek uważnie obserwuje gościa, to on decyduje o skróceniu dystansu, nie odwrotnie. W kontakcie z człowiekiem jest aktywny, chociaż relację z nim nawiązuje powoli. Znanego wolontariusza wita w kojcu podskokami i wąchaniem. Na razie w ograniczonym zakresie pozwala człowiekowi na dotyk, ale w drugą stronę nie ma z tym najmniejszego problemu, potrafi polizać ręce, trącić łapką czy głową. Henio uwielbia smaczki i dzięki temu można z nim wiele wypracować. Od dłuższego czasu Heniek wychodzi na spacery; poznał obrożę, smycz i szelki, chociaż założenie tych ostatnich to jeszcze małe wyzwanie. Podczas przechadzek dużo węszy, ładnie komunikuje się z innymi psami, na koty nie zwraca uwagi a ludzi obserwuje z dystansu. Tempo spaceru jest przyjemne. Heniek potrzebuje jeszcze sporo pracy w spokojnym otoczeniu oraz doświadczonego i cierpliwego opiekuna. Z uwagi na wiek Henio nie nadaje się do domu z dziećmi, natomiast obecność innych zwierząt prawdopodobnie nie stanowiłaby problemu.
