Adopt Henryk

Mixed Breed · Male

A 4-year-old cat Henryk is ready to find his home - he has been here for far too long. The reason he was in the cage was a nerve damage in his front paw. Henryk did not use it at all, so he had to undergo rehabilitation and had a special splint that encouraged him to put it properly. Henryk no longer has any bandages and often uses the paw on his own. He should walk as much as possible and use larger spaces, but unfortunately he was very shy here. He is currently in a foster home and is slowly making progress. Henry is loving, likes to eat a lot, tolerates other cats. Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. FIV/FELV tests are negative. In terms of feeding, his stomach currently only tolerates gastrointestinal food. Looking for a permanent home.

Aktualnie przebywa w domu tymczasowym i powoli robi postępy. Henryś jest kochany, lubi dużo jeść, toleruje inne koty. Odrobaczony, wykastrowany, zaszczepiony i zaczipowany. Testy fiv /felv ujemne. W kwestii żywienia, jego brzuszek na ten moment toleruje tylko karmę gastrointestinal. Szuka domu stałego.

About Henryk

What life with Henryk looks like

Henryk is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja EkoStraż in Wrocław.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Henryk, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Henryk?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja EkoStraż handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Henryk on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Henryk if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja EkoStraż will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Henryk already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Henryk isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja EkoStraż early rather than rehoming privately; they know Henryk and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
