Adopt Ella

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 6 months

I’m a 5‑month-old Staffie cross, and I think I might have a bit of Whippet in me too, I’ve got lots of energy and love a good zoomie! I get so excited to meet everyone, people are just the best, and I love making new friends wherever I go. One of my favourite places is the park, where I can run, play, and socialise with other dogs. I could happily live with another doggy friend to keep me company! Because I’m still a young pup, I’m learning all about the world, and sometimes I can get a bit mouthy when I’m excited. I don’t mean any harm, I’m just at that age where everything is fun and I want to explore it all! I’ll need some ongoing training, but the good news is…I love food, so if you enjoy training with tasty treats, we’ll make a brilliant team. I can be left for a few hours, but this will need building up slowly so I feel safe and settled in my new home. My dream home would have a secure garden where I can stretch my legs and get my zoomies out, I’ve got lots of love and energy to share! If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and slightly cheeky companion to grow and learn with, I might just be the perfect girl for you 💕

About Ella

What life with Ella looks like

Ella is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Jerry Green Dog Rescue in Lincoln.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jerry Green Dog Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Jerry Green Dog Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jerry Green Dog Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
