Hoksapik

Male · Young · 2 years

Hopsakik is looking for his forever family. 🐾 Some cats come into our lives with a history already marked by pain. Hoksapik is one of those. I am Hoksapik, a young cat born around April 15, 2024. My early life was spent outdoors, wandering, until the day I was found injured, with no one ever coming to claim me. I had a very serious wound on my neck, deep, located very close to the jugular vein. A wound that could have cost me my life. I was taken in emergency, treated, monitored... and despite everything I had been through, I held on. Because I too, wanted to continue living 🖤 Today, I am doing well. And today, I am ready to finally find my family. I am an FIV positive cat (cat AIDS). But this diagnosis does not define my personality or my quality of life. I am in good shape, my FIV is dormant and I have no particular symptoms. I live a normal life, and I can still live a long and beautiful one. I am a very gentle cat. Calm, composed, discreet, I like quiet environments and peaceful relationships. With other cats, I can coexist without difficulty. I am not a dominant or aggressive cat, just a calm companion who lives his life at his own pace. Dogs, on the other hand, are not for me 😅 But what I love above all... are humans. The presence, the caresses, the gentleness. I come to seek contact with great delicacy. I observe, I approach, I trust little by little. With children, I am adorable. And my gaze... often says what I can't express otherwise. A soft, deep gaze, full of resilience. ❗️Regarding my FIV+ condition: FIV is not transmitted in everyday life. It requires deep bites to be transmitted. I am neutered, calm and absolutely not aggressive. I can therefore live with other cats, subject to good understanding and an adapted framework. I am looking for a gentle, stable and patient family today, capable of offering me a serene home where I can finally settle down for good. 📅 Born in 2024 ✔️ Identified, vaccinated, sterilized, dewormed ✔️ FIV positive (healthy) ✔️ OK cats (cohabitation possible subject to agreement) ❌ Not OK dog Visible in foster care at Drennec. About Hoksapik

What life with Hoksapik looks like

Hoksapik is a young adult cat waiting at La Patte sur le Cœur BZH in France.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hoksapik, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hoksapik?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. La Patte sur le Cœur BZH handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hoksapik on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hoksapik if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — La Patte sur le Cœur BZH will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hoksapik already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hoksapik isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with La Patte sur le Cœur BZH early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hoksapik and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
