adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this dog now! Honey has found her home! Her story: Honey – her name alone sounds warm, tender, and a hint of sweetness that melts the heart. The little mommy of three magical puppies, Lovis, Jake, and Ginzou, has carried more responsibility in her young life than one would expect from her gentle nature. But despite all the challenges, she exudes a kindness that immediately touches the heart. Our local animal advocates found Honey with her babies in a situation where there was almost no hope – but as usual, they were once again faster than fate. Today, Honey and her little ones are in safety, cared for, and ready to begin a life full of security. And now we are searching for a home for Honey that befits her golden character. With her manageable size of 30–35 cm and only 6–7 kg, Honey is the perfect little companion – not too small, not too big, always ready for walks, cuddle sessions, or the gentle leaning against her human's leg. Her appearance reminds us of a Jack-Russell mix: alert, lively, lovable – but at her core, Honey is anything but stormy. She shows a more devoted, polite, and always trying to do everything right. Honey gets along wonderfully with other dogs, knows cats, and meets the world with cautious friendliness. With her calm, loving nature, she fits almost anywhere. Whoever is patient with her and gives her the necessary time will find in Honey a faithful companion who surprises again and again with how much love fits into such a small being. Whether in the countryside or the city – Honey can be happy anywhere, as long as her humans give her sensitive affection and show her that she has finally arrived. She would be delighted with shared walks, loving rituals, and a firm place in the heart of her humans. Your heart races at this little sunbeam? Then Honey could be the perfect companion for you. Many thanks to Michaela! You gave Honey her name on 30.11. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Michaela! Du hast Honey ihren Namen geschenkt Stand: 30.11.2025

About Honey

What life with Honey looks like

Honey is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Honey, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Honey?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Honey on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Honey if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Honey already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Honey isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Honey and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
