Honey

Mixed Breed · Male

Honey, is like her name… pure honey. Whether it’s the color of her soft fur or her interactions with humans. She clings to us like a honey drop. Our honey girl is young, cheerful, and full of energy and the will to live. She arrived with us in mid-February 2024 and immediately captured the hearts of many volunteers. We don’t know her history, but it’s likely a long one: one too many dogs in the home, not needed another dog. She was treated as a useless thing and ended up on the streets. But thankfully, she hasn’t lost her faith in people and approaches us with trust. She doesn’t cause any problems during daily care or at the vet. Dogs can see that from a young age she had to set her own relationships. And so, she has no problem with some dogs – she even shared a kennel with one that came to us. But on walks, she reacts with excitement and barking to passing dogs. She’s still a puppy. She needs support in learning. For Honey, we are looking for a loving home and people who will be important to her. We know that she will love with her whole doggy heart.

PL·Show original

Honey, jest jak jej imię…sam miód. Zarówno jeśli chodzi o kolor jej miękkiej sierści jak i obcowanie z człowiekiem. Klei się do nas jak plasterek miodu. Nasza miodowa dziewczynka jest młodą, wesołą sunią. Pełną energii i woli życia. To jednak jeszcze psi dzieciak. Potrzebuje wsparcia w nauce. Dla Honey szukamy kochającego domu i ludzi, dla których będzie ważna. Wiemy, że ona pokocha całym swoim psim serduszkiem.

About Honey

What life with Honey looks like

Honey is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Honey, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Honey?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Honey on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Honey if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Honey already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Honey isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Honey and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
