Hope CicÓ

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 2 months

Hope is a tiny, about 12-week-old girl who may not be perfect as the world imagines... but her heart is all the more so. Hope has only one eye. However, this does not prevent her from exploring the world, snuggling, purring, giving love - and clinging to people with all her heart. She is a real little love ball. Gentle, affectionate, purring, people-oriented girl, who especially needs love. And she has a habit that makes your heart melt... Hope still loves to suck on a pacifier. If no one is around, she chooses her own little paw. But if a loving person is there, her hand is even better! We would very much like her not to be a single cat. Hope could benefit from a kind, friendly cat companion, with whom she can play, sleep and explore the world. We only give her up for indoor keeping! Her one eye makes it difficult for her to navigate, so a safe, only indoor life is especially important for her. She has already received one vaccination, the second vaccination is due next week. She has a chip. Hope does not expect pity. She does not ask for special treatment. She just wants a home where she is loved, where she can be safe, where her own forever owner smiles at her every day! Could it be with you? :32:27)

About Hope CicÓ

What life with Hope CicÓ looks like

Hope CicÓ is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Menedék Állatvédő Alapítvány in Hungary.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hope CicÓ, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hope CicÓ?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Menedék Állatvédő Alapítvány handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hope CicÓ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hope CicÓ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Menedék Állatvédő Alapítvány will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hope CicÓ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hope CicÓ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Menedék Állatvédő Alapítvány early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hope CicÓ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
