adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Hope has found her people! Her story: Would you like to prevent this sweet, little puppy from growing up in the overcrowded shelter behind bars? Then get in touch with us! The little Hope is waiting in Baia Mare for you! Hope is a beautiful female puppy. Unfortunately, we know nothing about her origins. Perhaps she has never had a home, or maybe she was abandoned. Despite this, the little mouse looks friendly, playful, and full of hope for a better future. That's why we are trying to find loving adopters for Hope as soon as possible who will love her, raise her, stay with her forever, and show her how wonderful life as a family dog can be. The charming Hope has soft, reddish-brown fur with light markings around her shiny nose and cute, floppy ears! With her black button eyes and serious expression, she is a delightful puppy. Hope is only about 8 weeks old and has her whole life ahead of her. She will probably grow into a small to medium-sized female dog that brings a lot of joy and life to her new family. Hope is currently a helpless and vulnerable puppy, from which we cannot expect anything. She knows nothing about real life, but she will certainly do her best and try to do everything right. But in a few months, this sweet puppy will also enter puberty and will likely question one or two new rules very closely. But we are sure that Hope will also get through this time well if she has patient people by her side and is raised with much loving consistency. After the adjustment period, a visit to a positively working dog training class would contribute to guiding Hope's energy and learning readiness into the right paths and strengthening the bond to her new people. We wish for the wonderful puppy patient and loving adopters who will give her enough time to settle in and adapt to her new living situation. A foster home would also be a great start for Hope in her new, happier life. Cuddles and plenty of mental stimulation with the affectionate, little mouse, as well as a cozy spot and sufficient contact with fellow animals will surely turn her into a confident and balanced companion for any animal-loving family. If you are the right person for Hope, please get in touch with us. She travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas with an EU pet passport to her new home and will be placed after a positive. We thank the namingsponsor Sabrina S., who gave the little Hope her confident name and thus an unmistakable identity. As of: 04.06.

Stand: 04.06.2024

About Hope

What life with Hope looks like

Hope is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hope, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hope?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hope on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hope if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hope already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hope isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hope and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
