Adopt Hudson - EKH

European Shorthair · Male · Adult · 7 years

Born: circa 2019 in the animal shelter since: 07.05.2026 male, neutered Hudson came as a found animal to the animal shelter. He had been seen for a longer period at his found location, but unfortunately, nobody misses him. Upon arrival, he was in good general condition. Notable are his stumpy tail and the missing left hind leg. Hudson manages his handicap very well. He moves confidently and is fit. In the animal shelter, he lives in the cat house with other cats, with whom he gets along well. He does not have a close friend there. He is fearful of people and hides quickly when he encounters them. He is not aggressive but needs time to get used to new situations and people. For Hudson, we are looking for a quiet home with people who do not have problems with his handicap. We wish for him to be given enough time to gain trust and settle in. This page share link copy To protect the animals being placed and to cover costs, we charge an adoption fee per animal.

About Hudson - EKH

What life with Hudson - EKH looks like

Hudson - EKH is a adult european shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn in Dingolfing.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hudson - EKH, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hudson - EKH?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hudson - EKH on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hudson - EKH if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hudson - EKH already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hudson - EKH isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hudson - EKH and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
