Adopt Stupsi

Female · Young · 2 years

German Giant Mix Born: unknown at the animal shelter since: September 25, 2024 female Stupsi came to us as a stray from Mengkofen. To date, no one has reported her missing. She has been vaccinated against myxomatosis and RHD, and successfully treated for coccidia and yeast fungi. During her intake examination, a heart murmur and early-stage heart failure were diagnosed, which means Stupsi requires medication. Stupsi is a calm and rather reserved rabbit. During socialization, she was very assertive but in a fair manner. Ultimately, she took on the leadership role. Currently, Stupsi lives with Christoph in the small animal house with access to an outdoor enclosure. In this setup, Stupsi is the lower-ranking one. Generally, Stupsi is compatible and has become good friends with Christoph. Recently, Stupsi has been notable for rarely, if ever, wanting to go into the outdoor enclosure. Therefore, apartment living would also be suitable for her. Due to her heart condition, she should have a quiet home. About Stupsi

What life with Stupsi looks like

Stupsi is a extra-large young adult animal waiting at Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn in Dingolfing.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Stupsi far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Stupsi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Stupsi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Stupsi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Stupsi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Stupsi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Stupsi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn early rather than rehoming privately; they know Stupsi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
