Adopt Huggy

Mixed Breed · Female

In our eyes, she is simply extraordinary... We found out about Suni by chance. She was terrified, running from house to house with a fluid, and a whole group of Dogs followed her. What did she feel? What did she go through that she was so afraid of people? She didn't let herself be caught for several weeks. Jamor came to help and finally, it worked. No more litters and homelessness ever again. The beginning of socialization was difficult... The touch of a human, a leash - all of this was new to her. Huggy is a medium-sized female dog. She is usually calm, loves long walks and lying on the grass. Sometimes she herself encourages play, running with a smile on her muzzle around Volunteers. She gets along with other dogs and doesn't let anyone walk over her. She is distrustful of new people and certainly needs time to trust. To Employees and Volunteers she knows well, she happily approaches, wagging her tail. She allows gentle caresses - scratching her belly is one of her favorites. There is something special about her... Maybe it's that charm, those beautiful eyes? It's like she runs across the field, resembling a deer? Or maybe it's because she gave us a chance and trusted us? Help us find her a real home, someone who will be a family member, someone who will spend their time on her and love her as much as we do. She was born in 2019. She has been vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is in Radom. Transportation on own account.

Huggy to suczka średniej wielkości. Przebywa w Radomiu.Transport we własnym zakresie. Kontakt tylko telefoniczny Kasia 507 237 447 Ola 533 564 074

About Huggy

What life with Huggy looks like

Huggy is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Huggy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Huggy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Huggy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Huggy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Huggy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Huggy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Huggy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
