The story of Hugo, who was cherished and born in December 2023, is almost like a movie. The clever fellow boarded a train in Pilis at the end of February 2025 and traveled to Szolnok. From there, he switched to another train and went to Abony. And once more, he switched to a third train and arrived in Cegléd. His journey was documented on Facebook through numerous posts. One of the caretakers at the shelter in Cegléd had followed the posts and was waiting for the adventurer at the train station. The trusting Hugo was easily taken along. Upon arrival at the shelter, it was discovered that Hugo had a chip registered in Pilis. The notified owner initially wanted to pick Hugo up, but then decided against it with the "reason" that Hugo would always run away. Another "solution" did not come to mind when it came to leaving his dog at the animal shelter :-(.

Im Heim stellte man fest, das Hugo einen Chip mit Registrierung in Pilis hatte. Der benachrichtigte Besitzer wollte Hugo zunächst abholen, entschied sich dann aber anders mit dem „Grund“, dass Hugo immer abhauen würde. Eine andere „Lösung“ fiel ihm nicht ein, als seinen Hund im Tierheim zu lassen :-(.
