Hustle

Staffordshire Bull Terrier · Male · Young · 1 year

Hustle is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He is a sweet boy who can live with older secondary school children who are confident around bouncy and playful dogs, who will understand that can be a little clumsy when excited, who will play with him nicely and will give him space to rest when needed. Hustle can be a little frustrated around other dogs and can be a little over the top so would prefer to be the only dog in the home, he would however be happy with polite and friendly walking buddies. Hustle is a clever but busy boy, once he has had a good play he could engage in training in short, sweet sessions as long as a tasty treat is on offer. Hustle would like his own private, secure garden where he can spend play time so he can burn off some energy. He does tend to worry when left so is looking for someone home the majority of the time, especially to begin with, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Hustle will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear all of this in mind when applying. Super fun pocket rocket Hustle is a 1 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who gives everything 110% and has a real lust for life. He loves to use his brain and is the happiest chappie you will meet. He likes playtime and enjoys fetch with a tennis ball; he will zoom around after anything thrown for him or a good game with a flirt pole. Once he has burnt off some energy, he is eager for a fuss, he will paw you or climb into your lap and give you lots of kisses all over your face. Looking for a new adventures buddy, then Hustle is your guy!

About Hustle

What life with Hustle looks like

Hustle is a young adult staffordshire bull terrier dog waiting at Dogs Trust Canterbury in Chestfield.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hustle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hustle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Canterbury handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hustle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hustle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Canterbury will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hustle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hustle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Canterbury early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hustle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
