Imbir

Male · Young · 3 years

🌟 Meet Imbir! 🌟 Can you imagine a better name for such a handsome guy? 🫚😏 His coat has exactly those warm, "rooted" tones - as if someone sprinkled him with a little ginger! And just like this spice: it warms the heart from the first meeting! 💛🐾 Imbir is 2 years old, weighs 17 kg and recently arrived at our animal shelter. And do you know what? On his first walk he came out with a smile and energy that's impossible to resist! Imbir is a small dog who loves people - he approaches, nudges your hand, checks if you're really there. On walks he behaves like a little gentleman: he doesn't pull, doesn't tangle the leash, and if it does happen, he solves the issue in a second. He sniffs, marches, discovers the world and looks as if every leaf smelled of adventure 🍁 In the kennel he can play with a toy, but when it's time for a walk - he leaves it without regret, because movement and contact with a person are the most important thing for him. Along the way he turns his head, observes people, but stays with his caregiver and goes like a little explorer! 😎 And his fur? Soft as a blanket on a winter evening. No joke - it's hard to resist! Imbir is a dog full of joy, warmth and curiosity about the world. One who will give your life each day a little bit of energy, a smile and... well - ginger! 🫚 If you're looking for a dog who will be a faithful companion for walks, a cheerful buddy and a daily dose of positive energy - Imbir is already waiting!

🌟 Poznajcie Imbira! Imbir to pies pełen radości, ciepła i ciekawości świata. Taki, który każdego dnia przyprawi Wasze życie odrobiną energii, uśmiechu i… no cóż – imbiru! 🫚 Jeśli szukacie psa, który będzie wiernym towarzyszem spacerów, radosnym kumplem i codzienną porcją pozytywnej energii – Imbir już czeka! 🐶❤️

About Imbir

What life with Imbir looks like

Imbir is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Imbir, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Imbir?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Imbir on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Imbir if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Imbir already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Imbir isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Imbir and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
