From the small black sheep with curls, he has become a handsome Croatian Shepherd mix dog. Indie is initially somewhat reserved and observes the new situation before he faces the new circumstances. If he has time, he warms up and comes out of himself. He likes to check people first before completely giving himself to them. Due to the Croatian Shepherd, he sometimes barks, but can be well guided. Petting in the sun and playing are the best for him. He should not be around small children, as Indie can sometimes be reckless. He does not like too many external stimuli, so we see Indie more in a rural area. The leash currently seems scary to him, which is being worked on locally. Damals waren die Kleinen gerade einmal wenige Wochen alt. Aus dem kleinen schwarzen Lockenkopf ist inzwischen ein wunderschöner kroatischer Schäferhund-Mix geworden – mit ganz eigenem Charakter. Indie gehört nicht zu den Hunden, die sich kopfüber in jede neue Situation stürzen. Anfangs ist er eher reserviert, beobachtet und verschafft sich erst einmal einen Überblick. Bekommt er die Zeit, die er braucht, taut er auf und zeigt immer mehr von sich. Auch neue Menschen werden zunächst genau unter die Lupe genommen. Hat Indie entschieden, dass alles in Ordnung ist, kann er sich ihnen dafür umso mehr öffnen und Vertrauen schenken. Seine kroatischen Schäferhund-Gene kann und möchte er nicht verleugnen: Indie ist aufmerksam und meldet auch gerne einmal, lässt sich dabei aber gut lenken. Besonders glücklich ist er, wenn er in der Sonne ausgiebige Streicheleinheiten genießen darf oder gemeinsam gespielt wird. Da Indie manchmal noch etwas ungestüm sein kann, möchten wir ihn nicht zu kleinen Kindern vermitteln. Auch ein Umfeld mit sehr vielen Außenreizen ist nicht das Richtige für ihn. Wir sehen Indie deshalb eher in einer ruhigeren, ländlichen oder zumindest reizarmen Umgebung, in der er nicht ständig mit neuen Eindrücken konfrontiert wird. Die Leine findet Indie momentan noch ziemlich gruselig. Daran wird vor Ort bereits mit ihm gearbeitet. Seine zukünftigen Menschen sollten bereit sein, diesen Weg geduldig mit ihm weiterzugehen, ihm Sicherheit zu vermitteln und ihm die Zeit zu geben, die er braucht.
