Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

During our project tour in June 2026, we visited the Rescue in Stintino as usual, where we were eagerly awaited by our partners Paola and Pierpaolo. Since our last visit, many new dogs and cats had been taken in, who urgently needed to be introduced to us. Among these new arrivals were these four siblings. Their mother had given birth to them in the Campagna. People living nearby had observed this and brought the female dog with her puppies to their home. The female dog was - as not otherwise expected - not chipped. An owner could not be located, which also was not expected. The finders took good care of the mother and she could take care of her little ones in peace. And since the mother and her babies all showed themselves to be very loving and affectionate, they did not want to send them off to the responsible Canile at any cost, as this does not have a particularly good reputation. It would have been a miserable, sad life for the mother and her children. So it was decided to keep the mother (she will also be spayed) and find the best possible solution for the babies so that they too could have a good future. So we made contact with our partners on recommendation and when the babies were old enough and no longer suckled by their mother, they moved into the Rescue in Stintino. Ignusa, Ila, Ines and Igor, as the siblings are called, are particularly charming puppies. Age-typically, they are playful, lively and curious. They get along very well with the other puppies that also live nearby, as well as the cats that are also there. For the pretty and lovable puppies we now very much wish that their stay in the Rescue will only be a short stopover in their lives. The sooner they can live in close family environment, the better for their further development. As soon as possible, we would like to bring Ignusa, Ila, Ines and Igor to Germany, where they then - perhaps also without further detour via a foster home - find their dream home with loving families. Would you like to give Ignusa, Ila, Ines or Igor the chance at a great dog life with close family ties? If you are currently looking for a new furry family member and you are aware that an adoption not only brings a lot of joy, but also work and great responsibility, we look forward to your message. We mediate nationwide. Your contact person for this

About Ines

What life with Ines looks like

Ines is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at ProTier e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ines, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ines?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ProTier e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ines on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ines if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ProTier e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ines already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ines isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ProTier e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ines and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
