Ingala

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

4-month-old Ingala is the best of the best - something you can't train. Her local foster family describes her as simply great, almost perfect: super sweet, sociable, attentive and surprisingly obedient for her young age. She is particularly fond of people, meets other dogs in a friendly manner and has already met cats. Ingala also loves children very much and of course, playing, discovering and cuddling are part of it. Unfortunately, Ingala's life did not start protected, but on the streets in Romania: She was one of six little girl dogs that her owner simply abandoned - defenseless and without a real chance to cope alone. Luckily, help came. All her sisters have been locally placed, only Ingala is still looking for the place where she can belong. Her dark mask, the bright blaze on her forehead, the short fur and the many differently sized spots might give a small hint that a hunting dog could be in her genetic mix. Whether this will also show in her characteristics remains to be seen. At the moment she is about 45 cm tall and weighs 12 kg. When fully grown, we expect a shoulder height of around 55-60 cm and a weight of about 30 kg. We are looking for a home for Ingala that knows what it means to take in a puppy and explain the world to him. Much still needs to be learned, practiced and consolidated in everyday life. And puberty will come: boundaries will be tested, hormones will take command at times and some things that just worked before seem to be forgotten. A secure bond, clear orientation and an understanding approach will be important during this time. Ingala is already showing herself as an active and really clever little female dog. If she actually brings a fine hunting dog nose, she will surely enjoy using it. Nose work, search games and varied tasks could then be just the thing for her. A certain hunting instinct is also possible - her humans should therefore know how to direct it with the right workload and a confident accompaniment into the right channels. After a positive pre-control and the assumption of a deposit, she travels chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, de-loused and with an EU pet passport. She is not neutered due to her age. Little dog girl, great potential - who has a forever bed or a foster bed free? Many thanks Jonas M., that you took over her sponsorship. Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Ingala

What life with Ingala looks like

Ingala is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ingala, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ingala?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ingala on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ingala if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ingala already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ingala isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ingala and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
