Inna

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

We are seeking a new home for our incredibly beautiful Inna, as she is a true one-person dog. Multiple people in close quarters make her stressed due to all the movement and noise - even if they are all kind. If you have guests, she should be able to retreat to her own safe space so she doesn't feel exposed. Inna loves her human 100%. She is loyal and affectionate. She is also happy, playful, and curious. The right environment for Inna is in the countryside where she becomes familiar with her surroundings and avoids surprises. Inna loves her forests and fields and will accompany you on every walk you want to take in such an environment. Here's your companion for forest adventures, berry and mushroom picking - and for quality cuddles at home - as well as gardening help. As mentioned, we are primarily looking for a single-person household where Inna can form strong bonds with her human. She wants to live alone in the home so she can have all the care and treats. You must understand her situation regarding other people and never pressure her - it's just you and INNA. Similarly, regarding the environment - Inna should not have to walk in city environments - she is a true "country girl". Background: Late October is often chilly in southern Romania. It rains and blows - and with only a few degrees above zero, the cold goes through your bones. A man came home late from work when he noticed that there were suddenly three small puppies outside his house. He couldn't bear to leave them out in the storm so he took them into the kitchen where they spent the night in a box. Thanks to the man, they survived. The next morning, the man called SaveTheDogs who immediately came to pick up the three little sisters - Inna, Ilaria, and Iarina. They were fluffy and cute, but so pitiful. The puppies were estimated to be about 6 weeks old and at this tender age they should have been cared for by their mother. Instead, all resources had to be put in place as it is not guaranteed that such small puppies will survive. SaveTheDogs has enormous experience with just small puppies and with joint efforts they managed

About Inna

What life with Inna looks like

Inna is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hundhjälpen in Stockholm.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇸🇪Adopting from Sweden

Swedish shelters require an adoption application and home visit. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized. Cross-border placements within the EU use the standard pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Inna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Inna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundhjälpen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Inna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Inna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundhjälpen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Inna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Inna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundhjälpen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Inna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
