Inu

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 8 months

The enchanting Inu is just 8 months old and is eagerly waiting to finally find her own people. With her large, curious eyes and the little white spot on her chest, she quickly wins the hearts of those around her. Inu is open with people and enjoys making contact. She rubs her trusted people's legs, is curious, and enjoys cuddles. When Inu is out and about freely, she clearly shows a preference for having her own territory. Therefore, we are looking for a single place with free roam where she can enjoy undivided attention from her people. After an appropriate period of adjustment, Inu would like to explore the outside world. Therefore, we are searching for a home in a less trafficked area where she can safely enjoy free roam. Inu is ready to pack her suitcase and give her people a lot of love, purring, and beautiful shared moments. Who will give this special young cat the chance at a happy life? For further inquiries, please contact Mrs. Schmitz. This cat needs outdoor access.

About Inu

What life with Inu looks like

Inu is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Katzenhilfe Karlsruhe e.V. in Karlsruhe.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Inu, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Inu?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenhilfe Karlsruhe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Inu on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Inu if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenhilfe Karlsruhe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Inu already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Inu isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenhilfe Karlsruhe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Inu and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
