Adopt Inuki

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Inuki….Rest in peace! His story: Busag, Romania. Our Inuki has been waiting so long for a home – and he's been overlooked time and time again. Could there be people who will soon welcome this handsome male dog into their arms? Inuki waits in Busag for you. It's a private shelter where he lives freely with all the other dogs. Inuki is estimated to be around 11 years old and it's really time that he finally gets his ticket to happiness. He's about 60 cm tall and gets along well with all fellow animals. With people, he's still shy but also brave. Probably his curiosity will win when he has a stable home and feels safe. He eats out of people's hands once he's warmed up to them. Inukis hind leg was amputated, the exact circumstances we don't know. We've known him with this handicap and he copes well with it. Our pretty boy is desperately searching for a new family that will give him time to settle in. Inuki should be able to set his own pace. Unfortunately, we know nothing about his past, which means we have to assume that Inuki probably never had a home. This means that Inuki has to learn everything anew and is looking for people who can study the dog ABC with him. Inuki has packed his bags and can move into his new home with the next trapo. He looks forward to a family that will guide him into his new life with patience, love, and empathy. Inuki will need stability and security in his life. He wishes for a quiet, rural home, preferably without stairs and with a garden where he can lie in the sun and let the warmth soak into his fur. Because with his missing leg, he will no longer be a long-distance runner and should take care of his joints. Inuki travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to his new home. He would also be very happy to be placed in a foster home! Many thanks to Elfinur D.! You gave Inuki his name! Many thanks to Lisa B. and Monika M.! You support Inuki with a monthly paternity!

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Inuki….Ruhe in Frieden!

About Inuki

What life with Inuki looks like

Inuki is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Inuki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Inuki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Inuki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Inuki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Inuki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Inuki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Inuki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
