Adopt Irro

Male · Senior · 11 years

Nose is cropped, the whiskers are sparse, and the tenth is on his back. Some noses just don't have luck. Irrek has gone through a lot in his life, and now we thought this was it, the real one, forever. It would have been if the adopter got sick and could no longer take care of him because regardless of his age, Irro is a very fit guy who loves walks and being outside the apartment. Back when he was younger, he was a real athlete and there wasn't a fence too high for him to jump over. Of course, those are just memories now. Otherwise, he's a huge softie, good with everyone, as they say. Except that he's extremely gentle, he has that special charm that wins people over, and he's still a handsome guy. He's very tidy and urgently needs a home so he doesn't have to go back again to a cold kennel and a place he's already returned to too many times. Irrek is really easy to love, and the time spent in his company is wonderful, he's just the kind of friend and companion anyone would desire.

About Irro

What life with Irro looks like

Irro is a senior dog waiting at Noina Arka.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇭🇷Adopting from Croatia

Croatian shelters include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID in the adoption process. Several work with Italian and German rescue networks for placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Irro, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Irro?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noina Arka handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Irro on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Irro if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noina Arka will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Irro already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Irro isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noina Arka early rather than rehoming privately; they know Irro and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
