Hi, I'm Jaap, and since I came from Katwijk, my friends also call me our Jèèp. I find everything just fine, so listen to me when I want to speak for myself. I really enjoy going about my own business and think it's a big advantage that cats can do what they want. I like to go out for research, where I take care of myself and am not always nice to the neighborhood cats. Of course, some of them might ask for a tap. But I do come home to share cups. No matter how brave I want to be, I am also a bit shy. People can be quite intimidating to me. I do end up seeking more contact over time and enjoy being stroked on my back, but a calm household with a patient owner would suit me well. I don't say how old I am, but the vet estimated me to be around 8 years old. I keep my mouth shut or let him make his estimate when he's nearby. I underwent dental work at the animal shelter.

Hoi ik ben Jaap, aangezien ik uit Katwijk komen word ik door vrienden ook wel onze Jèèp genoemd. Ik vind alles prima, luister toch vooral als ik dat zelf wil. Ik heb al eerder een stukje over mezelf hier verteld, maar ik mag nogmaals wat zeggen. Namelijk dat ik inmiddels een stuk dapperder ben! Goed he. Ik vind mensen elke dag leuker worden, dat aaien bevalt me toch wel. Nog even en ik wordt een echte kroelkat. Stiekem kijk ik er wel naar uit om gezellig avonden op de bank door te brengen met mijn baasje. Ik wil natuurlijk nog steeds tijd voor mezelf hebben en naar buiten kunnen, maar die mogelijkheid krijg ik vast wel. Ik zeg zelf niet hoe oud ik ben, de dierenarts heeft me geschat op een jaar of 8. Ik hou lekker mijn mond of hij in de buurt zit met zijn schatting. Jaap heeft bij ons een gebitssanering ondergaan.
