Jackson

Mixed Breed · Male

Could you be my perfect match? Hello! My name is I can live with Dogs Cats Children MY story Meet Jackson ...Jackson is a gorgeous 4-year-old neutered, mix breed boy who is friendly, affectionate and full of personality! You will notice in his pictures his photo of how he was rescued. Jackson lived a harsh sad life on a chain, unloved, ungroomed and totally uncared for. Thankfully he was rescued and his life can finally start being full of happiness and peace. His personality today is testament to dogs- he is a sweet, loving boy, despite all he has had to endure. He loves a good head scratch, his toys, a bit of rough-and-tumble play and watching TV from his favourite spot on the back of the sofa! 📺🥰Jackson has been living in foster with two other dogs and absolutely loves playing, we think he would really thrive with another friendly dog.He is crate trained and nearly fully house trained, although he can have the odd accident. He does have a little separation anxiety and will need someone patient to help build his confidence when left alone over time and not be rushed into being left for long periods. Jackson is a happy, loving boy who would make a wonderful companion for the right family ❤️🐾 MY PERFECT HOME You will need a 6ft min fenced secure private garden. He can live with other dogs and really enjoys their company. He is not cat tested so we don't know how he would be with cats. Children 8 plus. OUR ADOPTION PROCESS 1 Fill in application form Please fill in the form as honestly as possible. Our team will read the application and make sure it is the right match for the dog being applied for. 2 We will arrange a home check If you and the dogs seem a good fit we will call you to discuss further, arrange to meet the dog and arrange a physical home check at your home. 3 Matched with your dog Once we have agreed together that this is the right dog for you we will arrange for your dog to come to you. Depending whether this is via kennels or foster homes it may vary. 4 Ongoing Support We love to keep in touch with everyone and hope you will reach out if you have any concerns or questions. We work with a number of local trainers and behaviourists too who can provide support. About Jackson

What life with Jackson looks like

Jackson is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Angels 4 Dogs Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jackson, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jackson?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Angels 4 Dogs Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jackson on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jackson if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Angels 4 Dogs Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jackson already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jackson isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Angels 4 Dogs Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jackson and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
