adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this dog now! Jani has had good fortune in his young life. For recently, he was lucky enough to move together with his mother, Kassy, and his sister, Tera, to a loving foster home. But of course, he also wishes for his very own family. Currently, Jani is around 4 months old and is expected to stay small but may reach a medium size. His adorable face with the fluffy fur is a gift from his mother. Jani is super friendly, open, and curious. He gets along well with other dogs and even with cats. Of course, little Jani still needs to learn the basics and complete his dog ABCs. But the smart puppy has already learned quite a bit and is already house-trained and walks excellently on a leash and harness. Anyone who decides to give a small soul like Jani a home should be aware that it is a wonderful experience to guide a puppy through its journey into adulthood. At the same time, it means a lot of responsibility. During puberty, your nerves will likely be tested a few times. But whoever takes on this challenge will receive something invaluable in return. A loyal companion, a new family member, a lifelong friend. A visit to a positively working dog training class would certainly be a wonderful way to strengthen your bond and grow as a team. Jani is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated and brings his EU pet passport. Age-wise, he is not yet neutered. Could Jani be whirling around your home soon? Then get in touch with us. We look forward to you! Thank you, Teddy Farms, for giving Jani a beautiful name. As of: 20.05. Some symptoms here are age-related.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 20.05.2026

About Jani

What life with Jani looks like

Jani is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jani, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jani?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jani on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jani if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jani already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jani isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jani and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
