Jared

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Hello, I'm Jared! I was born at the end of March and I came to the animal shelter with my mom Lea and my brother. In our family, I'm the calmer and less boisterous kitten. I need a bit more time to get to know and like someone. I don't rush into new acquaintances – I prefer to first observe the situation and make sure everything is safe. I'm kind of a kitten couch potato. I love being close to my mom, and I felt the best with her for a long time. Even my independent eating habits developed later than my brother's. When I finally gain their trust, I show my gentle and loving face. I'm looking for a home that will give me time to settle into the new situation and won't expect me to become a brave explorer from day one. I'm vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. My future caregivers will be required to bring me to the animal shelter for a free neutering procedure when I reach the appropriate age. Maybe you'll show me that humans are the best friends for a cat?

Jestem zaszczepiony, odrobaczony i zaczipowany.

About Jared

What life with Jared looks like

Jared is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Zabrze in Zabrze.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jared, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jared?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Zabrze handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jared on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jared if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Zabrze will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jared already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jared isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Zabrze early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jared and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
