Jarne

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Mixed-breed Jarne - ready for his own happiness Jarne was found with his eight siblings in front of a hotel and has been living in our Bulgarian partner animal shelter ever since. But he doesn't want to grow up here, so he's looking for his forever home or a loving foster home where he can arrive and start his new life. The little male dog is affectionate, curious, and open. Jarne is very social with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. He is also friendly and open to people and enjoys petting and attention. Jarne is still a puppy and of course he has a lot to learn. Housebreaking, being alone, driving, and the many small and large stimuli of everyday life are things he has yet to learn. For this he needs people who give him security with calmness, patience, and empathy and guide him step by step to all the new things. We wish for Jarne people who are happy to accompany a young dog on his way. He wants to build trust, discover the world with his people, be age-appropriately promoted, and of course get lots of cuddles. Anyone who is aware that a puppy brings a lot of joy, but also time, patience, and responsibility, will gain a wonderful companion for life with Jarne. Maybe you are the person Jarne has been waiting for? Adopting a rescue dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also become a challenge. The dogs bring a backpack with past experiences or unlearned situations and need time to settle into their new life. If you are seriously interested in adopting Jarne, please contact the responsible mediator of SALVA Hundehilfe. We would also be very happy to provide a foster home. Here's Jarne's video

About Jarne

What life with Jarne looks like

Jarne is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jarne, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jarne?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jarne on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jarne if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jarne already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jarne isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jarne and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
