Jasper-5

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 3 months

Country of origin: Hungary The charming Jasper, along with his siblings Opal, Flint, Onyx, and Jade, were born here at the animal shelter. Their beautiful mother, Blandina, arrived at the Menhely in Kecskemét from the municipality of Lajosmizse on May 11, 2026. As you can see in the entrance photos, Blandina was already in an advanced stage of pregnancy when she came to us. Another expectant mom at the shelter... Fifteen days later, the moment had finally arrived—five new four-legged citizens entered the world. Although the shelter is not the ideal place for a dog family, they are safe here, receiving food, water, care, and attention, while Blandina can raise her puppies in peace. This was definitely her last litter. Had Blandina been forced to give birth to her puppies somewhere outside, their chances of survival would certainly have been very slim. Likewise, the little ones are lucky to grow up alongside their mother—and Blandina is a loving dog mom who cares for her offspring with tender devotion and great diligence. The pups are thriving splendidly and are already keeping an eye out for their future humans, so that when they’re ready to travel, they can soon move into their new homes and won’t have to spend the coming cold winter months locked up in the kennel. Blandina herself is still searching for her own people and a loving home. Soon, the siblings will be ready to explore and conquer the big, wide world. As typical puppies, they’re very playful, agile, and curious; they’re people-oriented but can also become shy and reserved in new situations—which is understandable and perfectly normal. After all, they’ve known nothing but their kennel and occasionally the shelter’s play area. They’re little jewels that still need gentle shaping so that they can continue to develop into wonderful companions. They have all the best prerequisites to become wonderful family dogs and loyal companions to their people. Of course, they’re still very inexperienced and know nothing yet about the basics of dog life. That’s where their new two-legged friends come in—they’ll need to teach them everything with love and patience. The siblings live together in a kennel and love to romp, play, and explore more and more each day. We’re looking for adventurous and loving people for our precious little gang—who’ll accompany these young dogs on their journey through life and who are fully aware of what it means and entails to adopt a young dog and take on long-term responsibility. Puppy/dog training, full family integration, plenty of cuddles, exciting and varied walks, age- and breed-appropriate mental and physical stimulation, lots of play and fun, sufficient rest—then these adorable rascals can happily, carefree, loved, and hopefully for a very long time enjoy their new lives. Five wonderful young dogs are looking for a forever home! Currently, all of them are too young for neutering; their new owners will need to arrange this once they’re old enough. Their final size is estimated at 45–55 cm, and their final weight at 16–25 kg. As of July 30, 2026, Jasper measures 30 cm and weighs 6.1 kg. The siblings can travel starting around September 2026, once they’ve found a permanent home or foster placement.

About Jasper-5

What life with Jasper-5 looks like

Jasper-5 is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jasper-5, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jasper-5?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jasper-5 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jasper-5 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jasper-5 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jasper-5 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jasper-5 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
