Jazz

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

Jazz, born April 1, 2024, is a true clingy! Very close to humans, he loves company and never misses an opportunity to snuggle up against them. Very curious and especially very talkative, Jazz always has something to tell! With him, it's impossible to get bored: he loves to explore, observe everything around him and participate in the life of the house. On the side of cohabitation, Jazz doesn't seem very comfortable with his fellow cats. A home without other cats would therefore be preferable, so that he can fully enjoy all the attention of his future family. Jazz could also make the happiness of a family with children or that of a person living alone, looking for a true companion for life. More than a cat, Jazz is a faithful little friend, always ready to share everyday moments, cuddles and long conversations! Sweet, affectionate and full of personality, Jazz is a companion as endearing as he is amusing. Jazz is waiting for his family for life, ready to offer him as much love as he has to give! If you want to meet him, contact Mathilde G. at 07 82 21 54 86. A contribution to veterinary fees (sterilization and identification) of €160 will be requested. You can pay in one or two checks. Please provide a copy of your ID, as well as a proof of address. The adoption will be made in the context of an adoption contract, a certificate that you will find in "how to welcome and understand him" - commitment certificate, which commits the adopter to taking care of the animal properly. We reserve the right to visit the cat, as mentioned in the contract. Any adoption must be a well-considered act and not just a whim. It lasts a lifetime. You have to think about the costs, both food and veterinary, that such a commitment entails, but also about the pet care during your long trips or holidays. The arrival of a cat in a house is an important event and it is absolutely essential to follow the advice so that it is a success for everyone. Our vocation is to place the animals in the best way possible so that they are as happy as possible, as well as their owners. To read before adoption: "Welcoming and understanding him" and once the decision is made: "adoption formalities".

About Jazz

What life with Jazz looks like

Jazz is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Les Chats Libres de Nîmes Agglo in les chats libres de nimes agglo.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jazz, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jazz?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Les Chats Libres de Nîmes Agglo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jazz on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jazz if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Les Chats Libres de Nîmes Agglo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Jazz already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jazz isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Les Chats Libres de Nîmes Agglo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jazz and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
