Adopt Jazzy

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 4 months

BREED: Domestic short hair IDEAL HOME: I need access to the outdoors LIVING WITH CHILDREN: I could live with older children LIVING WITH DOGS: I prefer not to live with dogs LIVING WITH CATS: I prefer to be the only cat Jazzy is a young female cat who’s had a challenging start to life. She came into our care with three kittens – Kizzy, Zebb, and Donut – but sadly, due to stress, she wasn’t able to care for them and rejected them early on. The kittens have since gone on to thrive in their new homes, and now it’s Jazzy’s turn to find a calm, understanding environment where she can feel safe and settle in. Jazzy can be very affectionate on her terms and often seeks out human company. However, she also has a feisty side and may occasionally swipe — something we believe is linked to her current stress, particularly from living in a cattery surrounded by other cats. It’s clear she’s not coping well with this environment and would do much better in a home where she’s the only pet. She would benefit from a quiet, patient home with people who understand that she’ll need time and space to adjust. Jazzy could live with older, cat-savvy children (12+) who will respect her boundaries and let her come around in her own time. A pet-free home where she’s the only cat Access to the outdoors in a safe area away from busy roads Experienced or patient adopters who won’t expect too much too soon A household with older children who can give her space when needed Jazzy has already been through a lot in her short life. With time, space, and a calm environment, we’re confident she’ll grow into a wonderful companion. She just needs the chance to decompress and feel secure. If you think you could give Jazzy the home she deserves, we’d love to hear from you. Interested in adopting Jazzy? Call or contact us.

About Jazzy

What life with Jazzy looks like

Jazzy is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at SARA Ann Prosser Foundation in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jazzy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jazzy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SARA Ann Prosser Foundation handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jazzy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jazzy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SARA Ann Prosser Foundation will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jazzy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jazzy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SARA Ann Prosser Foundation early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jazzy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
