Jefferson arrived at the shelter together with her two sisters from Vaimõisa. The sisters quickly found a home, left and left her small heart empty for a moment. Jefferson remained quiet and watched how everything moved, how the days passed and how friends, in the form of other cats, offered comfort. But time did not stop - time gave her courage. She started looking at me when I approached her. She dared to come closer, but only as much as her heart allowed. She did not jump on me nor hide; in her silence she said: "I am learning to know you, step by step." Thus we broke down the barrier of trust. Play is her joy. Ball, mouse, crumpled paper, even a feather - all offer her fun. Sometimes she plays alone, slowly and thoughtfully, sometimes with a friend, jumping and spinning. Then her eyes sparkle and the world seems to belong to her alone. Jefferson is not a cat who immediately places herself in your heart. She is cautious with strangers. A patient person can quickly see how playful and curious she really is. She invites you into her world with small steps, carefully, but from the heart.
