adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this dog! Jella can stay with you forever! Her story: Jella is an approximately one-year-old female dog with beautiful brown-black fur and friendly light brown markings. When she was discovered by a loving woman on her way home, she was extremely thin and hungry. The woman fed her and turned to our team member Anca, who immediately came to her aid. At the discovery site, Anca noticed right away: Jella must have given birth to puppies recently. Her teats were noticeably swollen, but there was not a trace of the puppies. Anca took Jella to an enclosed company premises – there she was finally safe and was cared for. Together with Dorel, Anca returned once more and carefully searched the area – they actually found nine tiny puppies in a ditch and took them away immediately. The reunion was touching: Jella fell asleep in the car, exhausted and happy, as soon as she had her babies back. Currently, the little family is housed in the shelter in Busag, as the company premises were too dangerous for the puppies. Jella is still separated from the other dogs so she can care for her little ones in peace. However, she has no problem getting along with the dogs on the company premises. Jella is a wonderful and caring mother who quickly builds trust with people and bonds closely with her trusted people. Her gentle, loving nature and her bravery touch all who meet her. Jella is still very thin, as all her energy goes into caring for her puppies – she is currently being lovingly fed. For Jella, we wish for a loving home where she can finally be taken care of and spoiled. Once her puppies are old enough, Jella also wants to experience the security and joy of her own family – with lots of heart, patience, and a warm place for her brave soul. Who will finally give Jella, after all her courage and effort, the security and affection she so deserves? Even a foster home would be greatly appreciated by the wonderful female dog. Thank you, Cornelia M., for giving Jella an identity and allowing her to go on the search for her Forever Home. As of: 19.09. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 19.09.2025

About Jella

What life with Jella looks like

Jella is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
