Adopt Jelly

Jack Russell Terrier · Female · Young · 2 years

I am Jelly, a lively Jack Russell terrier, born in October 2024 - small, quick, and full of character! 🐾 I am active and curious, love being challenged, and especially enjoy mental work. I learn quickly and always want to discover something new, so I'm currently training hard, especially in leash walking - I still need a bit of improvement there. I get along well with other dogs and would love to live in a household with another well-behaved dog. I think children are great, and cats in my environment don't bother me at all. I don't like car rides, I need to build up trust there. A little weakness of mine: I love eating anything that comes my way - that's being worked on intensively. I'm looking for active, adventurous people who want to explore the world with me - couch potatoes aren't really my thing. Whoever gives me clear rules and loving guidance will get a quick, smart, and loyal little companion who makes every day exciting! Born: 01.10.2024 Breed: Jack Russell Terrier Color: tricolor

Geboren : 01.10.2024 Rasse : Jack Russell Terrier Farbe : tricolor Geschlecht: weiblich / kastriert

About Jelly

What life with Jelly looks like

Jelly is a small young adult jack russell terrier dog waiting at Tierheim am Böhler in Unterkulm.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jelly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jelly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim am Böhler handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jelly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jelly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim am Böhler will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jelly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jelly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim am Böhler early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jelly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
