Jemima Puddle-Duck

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten · 6 months

Jemima came to us as a young kitten after being found in a sewer suffering from a bad case of cat flu. After receiving treatment and plenty of TLC from our veterinary and animal care teams, she is now recovered and ready to begin her search for a loving new home! This gorgeous girl loves head scratches and lots of fuss. She also enjoys chasing toys around and has a playful, energetic side that is sure to keep you entertained. She has a curious personality, always keen to explore her surroundings and join in with a game. While Jemima is affectionate and enjoys spending time with her people, she prefers not to be picked up or held. Because of this, she would be best suited to a home with children aged 12 years and over who can respect her boundaries. Due to having cat flu at a young age, Jemima does have chronic cat flu, where her lungs sound slightly louder than normal, this is believed to be the result of chronic respiratory damage. Jemima does not require any medication and lives a normal life, being a typical, happy, active kitten! Jemima may be able to live with another cat of a similar temperament, or with a cat-friendly dog following careful introductions.

About Jemima Puddle-Duck

What life with Jemima Puddle-Duck looks like

Jemima Puddle-Duck is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at USPCA.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Jemima Puddle-Duck, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jemima Puddle-Duck?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. USPCA handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jemima Puddle-Duck on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jemima Puddle-Duck if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — USPCA will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jemima Puddle-Duck already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jemima Puddle-Duck isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with USPCA early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jemima Puddle-Duck and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
